Make sure you learn to surf the big hits so you don't get combo'd. The Katana is for parrying Fleshpounds or Scrakes that get in your grill. The 101 can take out clots and such while giving you a secondary source of darts in a pinch. It's a solid loadout that's easy to learn the basics with. Always rush this first.Īs for sidearms, you can take the trusty (101 + Katana) loadout with it. Kills trash in one headshot, has the most dart uptime, allows for easier buffs.you get the picture. Meanwhile the healthrower is an extremely mobile healing weapon, in addition to still having darts.Ĥ01 is the best all-around Medic weapon. The reason I like healthrower over the 501 is because for the 501 to effectively heal someone, they need to stand still in the gas grenade. Use your nades offensively on round one to make enough money to buy the 201 immediately, trade it for 401 asap, add a healthrower later on and use it exclusively for extra healing/buffing. If you don't enjoy the gameplay of healing/buffing your team, DON'T PICK MEDIC.

I've literally never played with a medic that mained hemogoblin or med railgun and thought "boy I sure am glad that big zed is moving a bit slower instead of me staying healed" or "sure am glad that despite having 2-3 big zed killing perks on the team already, that this medic is using a railgun instead of keeping us healed." Sure, you can technically use either of those guns and keep your team healed, but 90% of the time I see medics using these guns THEY SUCK AT HEALING because they are prioritizing their debuffs or headshots over watching their teammates' health. Second priority, when nobody needs heals, is to keep trash away from yourself and your big zed killers. In my opinion the most useful medic is one that prioritizes healing/buffing teammates over everything else.
